    Chartway Group is a partnership housebuilder delivering high-quality homes across the South East through its family of specialist businesses.

    Established in 2009, Chartway works with housing associations, landowners and partners to create thriving communities. As the business grew, it needed a framework to bring together people, processes and priorities, supporting sustainable growth.

    Chartway needed a practical framework that could strengthen governance, improve consistency and give the business greater confidence as it continued to expand.

    With multiple specialist businesses operating across the Group, maintaining consistent approaches to quality, safety, environmental management, energy performance and information security was becoming increasingly complex. Rather than implementing separate management systems, Chartway wanted one integrated framework that would improve collaboration, clarify accountability and support continual improvement across the organisation - helping teams work smarter while building greater confidence for customers, partners and stakeholders.

    Working with BSI, Chartway developed an Integrated Management System that aligned key business disciplines into one approach, creating a platform for continual improvement across the organisation.

    Beginning in 2023, Chartway introduced a centralised management system that strengthened document control, improved process ownership and embedded consistent ways of working. Supported by BSI throughout pre-certification and external assessment, the business brought together internationally recognised best practice across quality, environmental management, health and safety, energy management, information security and greenhouse gas reporting, creating a single framework that supports better decision-making and long-term resilience.
